Fort Mill, S.C. February 20, 2014. Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (“Continental”) has appointed new management to its Commercial Vehicle Tire group, which encompasses medium radial truck tires and commercial specialty tires.
Fedérico Jiménez will be responsible for managing sales and marketing for the commercial specialty tire business in the Americas. Previous to this role, Jiménez managed key accounts for ports for commercial specialty tires on a global scale. A native of Spain, Jiménez is now domiciled at Continental’s Americas headquarters in Fort Mill, S.C.
Marco Rabe has been named director of truck tire technologies for the Americas. A native of South Africa, Rabe joins the commercial vehicle tire unit from Continental’s North American passenger and light truck quality unit and is also located at the Fort Mill headquarters.
Terry Smouter has assumed responsibility for managing business development in the truck tire group, covering Continental’s advanced technology and e-business solutions. Smouter returns to Fort Mill after several years as marketing manager for Continental’s passenger and light truck tires in Canada.
Also within Continental’s truck tire group, James Matarelli has been appointed Western regional manager for truck tires, replacing David Gibson who has moved to Continental’s North region. Both are located at the Fort Mill headquarters. Matt Livigni, previously North region manager, has moved to assume responsibility for truck tires in the Canadian market and is relocating to Continental’s Canada headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.
