Continental Expands Fleet Service Offerings

03/26/2014
  • New Conti360⁰ Web portal will give fleets greater access to Continental truck tires and services
  • Emergency road services expanded with mechanical help for trucks

Louisville, Ky. March 26, 2014. Continental Tire the Americas, LLC announced today that it will offer fleet customers a first look at its new Conti360⁰ Fleet Services portal at the Mid-America Trucking Show, launching this summer to provide one-touch access to Continental products, services and reporting tools. Along with the portal launch, Continental is adding mechanical services to its tire emergency road service programs – TrukFix for national accounts, Trukfix for OOIDA members and ContiFleet for small fleets and owner-operators.

The sneak peek of the announcement was provided at today’s Continental press conference, with Alex Chmiel, director of marketing for truck tires – the Americas, later explaining more about the expanded services for North American trucking fleets.

“Today’s fleets are busier than ever. While Continental has been offering national account pricing, emergency road services, truck tire performance monitoring and fleet tire education for some time, we’re now giving our customers a time-saving way to access all their Continental benefits at once and provide more transparency from our services,” explained Chmiel.

With a single login, Continental truck tire national account customers will be able to view on the Conti360⁰ Web portal:

• Invoices, credits and sales history of Continental truck tire purchases
• Online truck tire training modules and interactive learning courses from the Engage360 Training program for fleets
• TrukFix emergency road service reporting, showing services by date and an analysis of wheel positions and average down time
• Truck tire performance reports from Continental’s ContiTrac2 fleet monitoring tool, which provides snapshots of the fleet’s tire usage, mileage performance, air pressure analysis, scrap pile analysis, warnings reporting and loss estimates due to improper maintenance conditions

The Conti360⁰ Web portal is expected to launch this summer for Continental national account customers. Future functions of the portal will include online ordering of truck tires and ContiPressureCheck tire pressure monitoring systems; an online warranty reporting tool and a management system for ContiTread™ retreads.

Also available this summer will be in the addition of light mechanical and towing services for Continental truck tire national accounts, OOIDA members and ContiFleet members, Chmiel said. The seamless service will be available by calling 877-TRUKFIX, the existing 24 hour hotline for these programs.

“With the addition of the Conti360⁰ Web portal and the mechanical breakdown service from our emergency road service programs, truck fleets in North America can take confidence in Continental’s ability to act as their partner and help them analyze their tire and service needs with complete transparency,” Chmiel said.

An advance look at the Conti360⁰ Web portal is available at the Mid-America Trucking Show in the Continental Commercial Vehicle Tires and Continental Commercial Vehicle and Aftermarket booth, #18252.
